Support the technical needs of both internal and external customers to maintain the highest levels of network availability, performance, and growth all with the utmost respect, professionalism, and courtesy. Research, evaluate, recommend, design, implement, and support current and new network technologies supporting overall infrastructure improvement. Serve as technical consultants to our sales and solutions teams. Provide them with the necessary information to help sell our products and services. Provide documentation relative to the existing Cisco and FortiGate powered network and as it evolves in such a manner as to provide other department’s information and internal knowledge transfer. Periodic travel within ENA by Zayo’s service area.
Responsibilities
Design, build, implement, and support new and existing network architectures. Serve as a technical team member for the HCPS contract. Responsible for implementation of standardization maintained through the HCPS engineering team.
Configure and maintain existing HCPS network. Troubleshoot complex customer issues and coordinate third party vendor interaction if needed to ensure prompt and professional resolution.
Provide and create documentation relative to the existing and new HCPS network as an ENA HCPS team member. Serve as technical consultant to the HCPS client through knowledge transfer, cross-training, and documentation as called on.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies for consideration relative to the HCPS client as requested.
Work within the HCPS Network Engineering team to implement network standards and Best Practices.
After-hours on-call support rotation.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Expectations of a Network Professional:
Identifies and initiates activities for to enable continuous improvement in employee effectiveness within the functional area and customer satisfaction with ENA.
Impact directly supports ENA achievement of short term and long-term success
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have 5+ years of LAN and WAN implementation experience along with significant and demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting large scale multi-protocol networks with strong experience configuring Cisco routers, switches, and security appliances including Cisco ASA and Fortigate firewalls. Candidates must have a valid CCNP -Route Switch and/or NSE 4 or equivalent.
In addition, experience working with various routing protocols and technologies such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, QOS, and Multicasting and experience working in switched environments with strong understanding of layer2 networks and topologies as it relates to design in Metro Ethernet deployments is needed. Experience working in VoIP deployments a plus.
Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and must have a positive attitude, ability to work in a team environment and perform efficiently with minimal supervision.
This position will be working from both customer sites and our corporate headquarters. This position could require some periodic travel. A valid driver’s license is required, and the candidate’s driving record must enable them to be eligible for coverage under ENA’s liability policy.
Must be able to lift 45 lbs, climb 6' ladder and have a valid FL drivers license.
Base pay range: $70,500 - $90,200, commensurate with experience
