DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently or with Managed Service provider, team member and others to troubleshoot various issue with our Cisco Network, Cisco Telephony and Legacy Paging equipment
- Performs WAN troubleshooting, maintenance, and routing support
- Ability to Monitor network w/ monitoring tools and document LAN \ WAN topologies
- Participates in the maintenance of network hardware and software configurations
2. Quality Control
- Adheres to standards and maintains performance evaluation criteria for recommended network hardware and software components.
- Establishes adequate test environments and detailed test plans
- Performs testing of the disaster recovery system
- Provides technical support as needed to resolve issues
3. Security Control
- Performs security administration functions for all network environments
- Develops, implements, and monitors appropriate security procedures
4. Project management
- Prepares technical designs and specifications for network processing
- Participates in the design, development, inspection, testing and implementation of complex networks
- Reviews project plans and technical specifications
- Makes recommendations to improve systems
- Leadership
5. Other responsibilities as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Pursuing Cisco CCNA or similar.
- Experience troubleshooting multiple node WAN environments
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers to help maintain, design, implementation and troubleshooting network LAN/WAN
- Experience with enterprise network monitoring in for VoIP, WLAN, MPLS environments, especially using SolarWinds.
- Experience implementing and managing site-to-site Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
- Experience using network analysis, management and performance monitoring tools to plan for growth, diagnose problems and determine source.
- Ability to travel as required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to spend extended hours viewing a computer screen
- Ability to walk, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Prefer a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or similar degree. Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated.
