The Opportunity:
A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the Army to achieve its missions, but how can an organization make sure its network will fit its evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. Having experience leveraging multiple paths to extend a network and knowing when to use one technology over another is key to making an adaptable and resilient network. That's why we need you, an experienced Network Engineer who knows how to develop the exact network the Army needs.
As a Network Engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in Network Engineering and emerging and future efforts, including networked waveform developments and card-based solutions, to support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You'll rely heavily on your experience with frequency-based IP networks and the ability to properly plan for scalability. You'll attend, organize, and brief key meetings, and represent the client. and evaluate and assess technical, logistical, and operational concepts, reports, and plans to ensure compliance and cohesiveness with guidance, directives, and policies. You will conduct analyses and studies to establish the feasibility of systems and subsystem requirements and assist multiple clients with requirements analysis, implementation, and compliance with directives and procedures. You will support the client in the collection, dissemination, and development of product information and data for critical decision-making. You will effectively coordinate with organizations to synchronize program schedules with stakeholders.
You'll apply your expertise in networking and combine it with your experience and skill with people to liaison between the client and their customer. You will be integral to embedding this position to enable efficient communication between organizations for multiple outcomes.

You Have:

• 6+ years of experience as an engineer
• Experience with the DoD
• Experience with Cisco, Jupiter, PacStar, and Klaus Networking systems
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Knowledge of the Army's Integrated Tactical Network and subcomponents
• Knowledge of frequency bands and spectrum analyzers
• Ability to work on teams and work alone without supervision
• Ability to be a self-starter and anticipate the needs of the client
• Ability to troubleshoot radio links and establish digital networks
• Ability to document configuration management, resource options for life-cycle procurement, operation management, and equipment End-of-Life (EOL) replacement
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including confident presentation skills
• Possession of excellent people skills
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Certification
• CompTIA Security+ Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
