The level of complexity is high, given the equipment, various network protocols, and engineering designs. You will interface with and engage field and network teams, both with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As a RL Controls Network Engineer, you will have an integral position within our engineering team. This will involve assisting in a variety of essential job functions that include the designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure and services for network devices and peripherals.

Qualifications

• Extensive network design & implementation experience
• Experience in the engineering, implementation, and on site support of networks
• 5+ years of experience with wired and/or wireless equipment (i.e. Routers, Switches, Firewalls, etc.)
• Experience with industry standard security practices
• Experience with network architecture diagrams
• Experience with creating and running network medium tests (fiber/copper)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as necessary.
• Experience with selection, design, implementation and support of enterprise network systems and diagnostic tools
• One or more certifications are a plus; CCNA, CCNP, Genetec, Extreme Networks, CompTIA
• Network site surveys, design, documentation, commissioning
• CCTV, PoE, LPR, AC/DC, CBTC, EACS helpful
• Travel 15-30% to customer sites
