ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are actively seeking a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in datacenter operations, cloud technologies, and automation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring its seamless integration with datacenter, office network and cloud environments. Here's an overview of the responsibilities and qualifications:

Network Infrastructure Design and Maintenance:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable network infrastructure to meet organizational requirements.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the network within datacenter and cloud environments.

Datacenter Operations:

  • Manage, monitor, and optimize datacenter networking solutions for efficiency and reliability.
  • Be a point of contact for all datacenter activities like racking/stacking of hardware, ISP management, VPN, Firewall etc.

Cloud Integration:

  • Architect, implement, and manage network solutions in public, private and hybrid cloud.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and cloud resources.

Automation and Orchestration:

  • Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to streamline network provisioning, configuration, backup, and monitoring.
  • Utilize automation tools such as Ansible, Napalm, Terraform, or similar technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Network Security:

  • Implement and maintain security protocols and measures to protect network infrastructure and data.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.

Troubleshooting and Optimization:

  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, connectivity between systems by working closely with internal team and other external stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for network/IT optimization, security stance and implement improvements.

Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures for network and IT related tasks.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to achieve integrated and cohesive solutions.
  • Participate in the product development process to provide inputs for security and optimal connectivity.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Network Engineering, security, datacenter management, and cloud services.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in networking engineering, traditional datacenter, and modern cloud environments.
  • In-depth understanding of networking principles [OSI model, subnetting], protocols [TCP/IP ], and architectures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of multicast concepts, including source-specific multicast (SSM), any-source multicast (ASM)
  • Expertise in multicast routing protocols such as Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) and Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve multicast, streaming, and TCP/UDP-related issues.
  • Ability to analyze packet captures and network traces.
  • Hands-on experience working with Cisco, Dell, Fortinet, Aruba devices.
  • Experience setting up monitoring and backup solutions for network devices and infrastructure.
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate routine tasks and configurations.
  • Experience with automation tools for network provisioning and management.
  • Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualization technologies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex network issues.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+ are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
