Primary Purpose
As part of the Corporate IT Administration Team, this individual would be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure , primarily in t he design, configuration, and administration duties of wired and wireless local -area (IT and OT) networks , wide- area network s , inter-network devices such as routers and switches , and telecommunications systems . Responsible for leading in t -shoot of LAN, WAN , and WLAN issues , assisting in troubleshooting of IT security systems, and assisting in development of disaster recovery processes a nd business continuity planning .

Essential Job Duties
- Manage and maintain the company's network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, multi- WAN/LAN/WLAN services, cloud connectivity, and other network -related devices and components .
- Evaluate current infrastructure and recommend "best practices" improvements.
- Monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and ensure optimal network uptime.
- Implement and maintain security protocols and measures to protect the network from threats and vulnerabilities , including routine preventative network maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and backups.
- Assist with update and patch scheduling to ensure all software and hardware components are following best practice versioning.
- Collaborate with Maintenance team and external partners to design and implement appropriate data infrastructure cabling, power delivery, and HVAC/environmental controls to network hardware.
- Create and maintain network documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, and network policies/procedures.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and new technological developments and make recommendations regarding network improvements, capability enhancements, and changes to current standards as appropriate .
- Collaborate with the IT t eam to design and implement network solutions to meet the company's evolving needs.
- Collaborate with the IT Support team, Development team, IT Analyst team, and external consultants to identify and address the root causes of technical issues.
- Provide technical support to end-users in diagnosing and resolving network-related issue s .
- Assist in the planning and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Document and handle requests using issue tracking system; prioritize and follow up proactively on open issues.
- Analyze, diagnose, prioritize, and solve technical issues , and e scalate issues as necessary .
- Assist with developing controls around determining and granting appropriate system s access .
- Troubleshoot and respond to basic system alerts.
- Troubleshoot, repair, m aintain , install, and perform testing activities on various computer equipment, telephone equipment, peripherals, data communication, computer network systems, and computer software.
- Prioritize workload alongside internal Technical Support Specialists to ensure timely completion of projects that meet departmental goals and objectives , including engagement of external consultants and vendors as required .
- Assist as required for installation, configuration, and maintenance of Hoffmaster's network, server, data storage, and fir ewall systems.
- Develop and maintain standards for hardware and software support and deployment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology , Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet , or other network hardware and software.
- Proficiency in network security principles and technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CCNP, NSE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud networking and virtualization technologies is advantageous .
