Position Purpose:The Network Administrator (NA) maintains essential databases for the campus’s telecommunications, network infrastructure, and data services to ensure reliable access for the community. The NA is responsible for updating systems, managing databases, and promptly addressing service disruptions to meet the diverse needs and preferences of end-users, facilitating uninterrupted communication across the campus. Working with project contractors and vendors, the Network Administrator customizes network services to maintain a robust and responsive network environment, aligned with the operation and reliability of campus-wide communication networks.
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp:High School or equivalency
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:- High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in Office Administration
- Strong problem-solving skills for quick resolution of network issues.
- Effective organizational and communication abilities.
- Experience in vendor management and customer service.
- Financial literacy and attention to detail for accurate billing and inventory management.
- Adaptability to new technologies and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Project management experience, with an analytical and collaborative approach for network upgrades.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including off-hours and on-call, with occasional travel for on-site tasks.
- A solid understanding of security principles to ensure the integrity and reliability of campus-wide communication networks.
- Experience with management of phone systems.
