JSI operates distribution facilities in Fall River, Chicago, Atlanta, and Denver. Our expansive footprint is leveraged to service 2,500 of the finer kitchen and bath dealers in the United States with all-wood cabinets shipped as quickly as the next day.
We currently have an opportunity available for a Network Administrator. Reporting to the VP of Operations: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Administrator to join our IT team. As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our computer network infrastructure, including enterprise Wi-Fi networks. Your expertise in firewall, WAN, and VPN technologies, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, Windows Server operating systems, EDI/API technology, SQL, Active Directory, Azure Platform and enterprise Wi-Fi networks will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our network and surveillance infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including firewalls, WAN, and VPN technologies.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary adjustments or enhancements to optimize network performance and reliability.
- Manage network security measures, including implementing and maintaining firewall rules, access controls, and intrusion detection systems for both wired and wireless networks.
- Administer and maintain TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and SMTP protocols to ensure efficient network communication.
- Install, configure, and support Windows Server operating systems and related services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EDI/API technology and facilitate seamless data exchange with external systems.
- Utilize SQL and basic queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze business data as needed.
- Administer and maintain Active Directory and Azure AD services, including user management, group policies, and access controls.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement network hardware and software upgrades or replacements as necessary, ensuring compatibility and functionality with the enterprise Wi-Fi networks.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users regarding network-related issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in network technologies and trends and make recommendations for network improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in firewall, WAN, and VPN technologies, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, Windows Server operating systems, EDI/API technology, SQL, Active Directory, Azure Platform and enterprise Wi-Fi networks.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, topologies, and architectures.
- Solid knowledge of network security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support to end-users.
- Must be willing to work on-site.
