Vetcor is looking for a Systems and Network Administrator to join our team. This is a brand-new role for our company. You will play a play a key part in managing and maintaining our organization's Systems and Network infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance.

This is a remote role reporting to our Director of IT with additional support from a Jr. Network Administrator to support projects. Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and operating systems to provide a stable and secure IT environment.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and availability of network services.
- Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to protect our organization's sensitive data and infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Manage and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to quickly resolve any network-related problems and minimize downtime.
- Perform regular system backups and implement efficient data recovery operations to safeguard critical information and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades, enhancements, and new technologies, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Provide technical support to end-users, promptly addressing hardware and software issues and offering guidance and solutions to ensure smooth and uninterrupted workflow.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Systems and Network administration, and proactively make recommendations to improve our organization's IT infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in computer Systems and Network administration.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Systems and Network Administrator, ideally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching, with the ability to design, configure, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures.
- Proficiency in managing both Windows and Apple operating systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance, to ensure optimal performance and stability.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V, enabling efficient resource utilization and scalability of Systems and applications.
- Familiarity with network security principles and best practices, including knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues to minimize any impact on business operations.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, allowing for effective interaction with end-users, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
- A proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for Systems and Network administration, constantly seeking to enhance skills and stay ahead in the rapidly evolving IT landscape.
