DriveSmart is seeking a dedicated Network Administrator to oversee, maintain, and improve our organizational network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable and proactive individual with a strong foundation in network management. Does this Apprenticeship sound like an opportunity to grow your career?

What's a successful candidate look like?

• Network Setup and Management: Design, implement, and manage both LAN and WAN, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Security Management: Develop and enforce network security policies, oversee the installation and management of firewalls and antivirus systems, and conduct regular network security audits.
• Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor network performance, identify and resolve bandwidth bottlenecks, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of network communications.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Respond to network issues and outages promptly, and diagnose and resolve complex network problems to ensure minimal disruption.
• Hardware and Software Maintenance: Oversee the installation, configuration, and updating of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Data Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage effective data backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss.
• User Management: Administer server and network user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors for the procurement and maintenance of network equipment and services.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of the network setup, configurations, and procedures.
• Emerging Technology Research: Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in network management and recommend upgrades and improvements.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and office IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with network security practices and data backup/recovery.
• Specific certifications, like Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/JNCIS, or equivalent

Requirements:

• Ability to work in the United States without a current or future need for sponsorship
• Ability to work onsite at the office in Newport, AR
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
