Position Summary/Job Description:
- Apply architecture and design principles consistently and holistically to enable target end-to-end usage scenarios
- Adhere to processes around development methodologies including continuous integration, static code analysis, test coverage, etc.
- Perform peer code reviews to ensure quality
- Participate in grooming sessions to ensure sound technical design and story pointing
- Collaborate and create technical specification artefacts required for the epic and/or story
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager and Architect/Lead for the design of the application and its non-functional requirements for scalability, performance, stability, and supportability.
- Work closely with Product Owner to implement functional requirements to meet business outcome
- Keep up to date on industry technology trends and modern software delivery techniques.
- Developing and maintaining long term business domain knowledge
- Subject matter expert on system behaviour of domain features

- Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions using C#/VB.NET, VBScript, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PL/SQL.
- Design, code and test new Windows and web software applications.
- Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
- Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
- Strong knowledge Database - Access, Oracle, Teradata
- Reporting tool experience- BOBJ, SharePoint
- Experience with Space Management tools, e.g., AutoCAD, Blue Yonder (formally JDA) Space Planning Suite (Space Planning, Floor Planning, IKB, Open Access, Assortment Optimization, Space Automation)
- Experience with Cloud Computing platforms, e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Computing Platform, OpenShift and OpenStack.
