GENERAL DUTIES:
Operate vans under different weather conditions. Transport consumers and other authorized persons "to and from" day programs & work. Complete all routes observing road safety standards and laws relevant to the State of California.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Successfully complete van driver training as prescribed by state law requirements and Transportation Services, LLC.
Operate vans safely, observing laws of the State of California and the policies of Transportation Services, LLC
Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections of vans and equipment.
Maintain safety, orderly conduct of passengers and report unsafe acts or conditions.
Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and public.
Complete required reports accurately and timely.
Ensure safety while loading, unloading and riding in the vans.
Clean vans daily, removing items left by consumers, sweeping, and fueling as directed by Transportation Services, LLC.
Report needed repairs.
Maintain timely routes and schedules.
Report any hazards along the existing route to the appropriate management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum age to qualify as a van driver is eighteen (18) years of age.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid California Class C Driver's License
Current First Aid & CPR certification
Current VDDP (Vehicle for Developmentally Disabled Persons) clearance
Must pass a physical examination by a licensed Doctor of Medicine prior to the date of employment in accordance with the approved examination (DL Form 0514).
Good moral character.
Minimum of two years driving experience.
No addiction to alcohol, narcotics, or recreational drugs. Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test.
Mental and emotional stability, ensuring responsible driving, competency, and efficiency.
Appearance and personality compatible with the requirements of Transportation Services, LLC
Candidates with prior experience working with disabled clients preferred.
*Work Location: Multiple Sites: Moreno Valley, Riverside, Perris, Ontario, Mont Clare, Chino & Rancho Cucamonga.
