Overview

Element has an opportunity for a NDT Trainee Inspector to perform non-destructive eddy current examinations on various metal materials, and finished products. Operate computer automated scanning equipment to check materials or products against known defect standards to customer specifications.

 

Responsibilities
  • Safely set up and operate equipment for inspection of finished machined parts
  • Follow established manuals, procedures and standards and/or develop techniques when standards are not specified
  • Prepare parts for inspection
  • Calibrate and verify equipment performance prior to inspection
  • Accept or reject items in compliance with customer specifications or other requirements
Skills / Qualifications
  • Applicants with no experience must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, customer testing specifications, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to calculate ratios and proportions
