Amee Bay, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a leading government contractor, seeks a UHF Comms Technician to join our team in San Diego, CA.
Position Overview:
The SHF/EHF Satcomms Technician will serve as a representative of Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC), offering technical assistance on SHF/EHF COMMs systems aboard U.S. Navy ships under SWRMC's purview. This role will operate from SWRMC, Bldg. 76 at Naval Base San Diego, receiving daily work assignments from the SWRMC C283 Branch Head.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide technical services representing SWRMC Engineering Department and other assigned duties.
- Offer on-board and distance-support technical assistance for various equipment and components on surface ships throughout their operational cycles.
- Manage one or more of the following UHF systems, their operating software, interfaces, and critical sub-system topology:
o AN/WSC-9 NMT
o AN/USC-69 CBSP
o Star Link
o AN/WSC-6(V)9 SHF
o AN/USC-38 (V) 4,9
Along with the knowledge of the above systems the technician must have knowledge of:
- Electronic equipment and systems design and testing concepts.
- Specialized theories, practices, and techniques including acoustics, electronics, electrical, thermal, piping systems, and associated interfaces.
Position Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret level clearance; individuals with an Active Secret Clearance preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and National Agency Check.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid US Driver's License.
- Five (5) years of relevant work experience operating Radio/Multi-band/Antenna components.
- Completion of Navy C Schools related to the specific equipment.
This position is located in San Diego, CA.
Hiring Range: $32.30 - $39.50
