JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Naval Architect Intern. The Naval Architect Intern contributes to Regal’s mission of excellence by demonstrating a true passion for new technologies and design principles. This individual will work alongside the Engineering Team to develop new and innovative products.
Key Responsibilities

Assessing project requirements and research feasibility.
Assisting in producing detailed designs of new products using drawings and specialist computer software.
Assisting in the development and testing procedures including computer modeling and scale models.
Interpreting and analyzing data and test results.
Assisting in overseeing the building and testing of prototypes.
Any other duties as assigned.

Ability to analyze and interpret technical information and drawings

Strong interpersonal skills
Able to work effectively with a team of engineers
Meticulous attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent spatial awareness
Solid understanding of hydraulics, materials testing and electrical theory
Pursuing a degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or Marine Science
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions, normal office environments or factory environments that are not climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The factory in certain areas maintains a high fiberglass and dust environment.

Personal Protective Equipment might be required in certain areas of the factory including but not limited to safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, gloves and protective garments. Employees in safety-sensitive positions must report to work fit for duty and must remain fit for duty throughout their work day. To be fit for duty, the employee must not be impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.
