At the center of NVIDIA's culture are our core values like innovation, excellence and determination and team, which guide us to be the best we can be.
Within Aerial platform, Nvidia is building Digital Twin for Radio Access Network for 5G and 6G. With Nvidia RAN Digital Twin, we are writing a new chapter how physically accurate network can be simulated at scale. Built on our Omniverse platform and harness the power of RTX ray tracing. We are revolutionizing the world of RAN simulation to innovate, design, deploy and test networks for 5G/6G. We are looking for a motivated and energetic senior engineer to take a strategic role in the architecture and the entire software product development life cycle of Aerial Digital Twin
What you will be doing:
- Partner with technical visionaries within the company to define and deliver a simulation environment that advances the state of the art in innovating, designing, deploying and testing Radio Access Networks for 5G/6G.
- Work on designing, building, scaling and debugging the simulation framework. The simulation framework includes user interface, physics, traffic modeling, timing, animation systems, ingestion of GIS data, memory optimization, performance profiling, etc.
- Closely engage with external customers with the objective of a most efficient adoption of Aerial Digital Twin.
- Understand customers' requirements and follow-through with internal engineering and product team
- Work closely with the other groups in Nvidia such as Omniverse teams to deliver a complete simulation capability.
- You will build software to render and manipulate synthetic environments used to build Digital Twins of Radio Access Networks for 5G/6G.
What we need to see:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of graphics Software Engineering experience or 2+ years of graphics Software Engineering experience with PhD
- 6+ years of object-oriented and component-based design experience
- 6+ years of strong modern C++ and/or Python skills
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving and communication skills
- Understanding of GIS/stereo photogrammetry data, metadata ingest, processing, storage, and retrieval.
- User interface experience of RAN Simulation software and/or Geographic Information System (GIS) software.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Experience of shipping products used by a wide range of customers
- Experience with Universal Scene Description (USD) or CityGML
- Knowledge of ray tracing, rasterization and linear algebra
- Developing existing RAN simulation applications
- Experience with real-time hardware ray tracing APIs such as the Vulkan Raytracing API, DXR, Nvidia RTXDI/OptiX.
- Understand the advance principles of GIS analysis and data processing
