The Fluid ConveyanceNational Product Manager is responsible for driving the strategy and implementation of marketing and sales efforts for the Industrial Sales and Service Business Unit. This role will require strong coordination throughout the organization and working jointly with our internal stake holders and key suppliers and is a great opportunity to develop and lead strategy in this vertical.
Experience, Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sales or Marketing is preferred
- 6 + years of experience within the sales of Fluid Conveyance hydraulic components (hose, pipe, fittings, gaskets, etc.)
- 2+ years experience in strategy and sales into large-scale / national accounts is preferred
- Strong technical skills and understanding within Industrial Fluid Conveyance hydraulic solutions and applications
- Ability to foster relationships and generate enthusiasm for the overall selling experience
- Desire for long-term career in sales leadership and/or business development
- Experience with integrating marketing efforts and communications
- Team facilitation and relationship building skills to foster engagement and an environment of teamwork and trust
- Great communicator (phone, email, text, in person)
- Overnight travel will be required
- Valid Drivers License is required
Essential Functions
- Directly responsible for Fluid Conveyance sales, development and training of Fluid Conveyance teams, as well as communication of goals and objectives to internal resources.
- Develop a comprehensive market overview and sales plan including key customers to achieve sales growth objectives and associated markets
- Deliver results by showing the ability to identify and create opportunities, as well as set goals that deliver profitable growth
- Engaging in regular weekly cadence call updates and any monthly or quarterly business reviews
- Manage changing needs of Industrial Sales and Service SBU by exhibiting flexibility; cognizant of need for speed to market.
- The discipline to remain focused on long-range strategy amidst short-term pressures.
- Ability to influence others through collaborative consensus building skills
- Work with and through the Sales Teams & RM's to drive sales activity & opportunities
- Mentor and educate Sales Team with understanding where and how to sell Fluid Conveyance products through planning & targeting sessions
- Product Selection to fill a need, solve a problem or displace a competitor
- Travel nationwide for strategy, training and joint sales calls
