Job Overview

This position will be responsible for and charged with the business development, growth and maintenance of the Hubbell brands with top national and regional homebuilder accounts. Hubbell manufactures a comprehensive assortment of electrical wiring devices. The National Account Manager coordinates with the sales, marketing and distribution to ensure ongoing relationships and additional sales opportunities in the homebuilder and multifamily segments. The National Account Manager achieves a category growth rate consistent with the specific account goal, maximize sales volume and margin, strengthen brand presence, and enhance customer relationships.

A Day In The Life

  • Manages relationships with homebuilders, electrical contractors, and distributors to drive new specifications and increase national and regional account sales.
  • Engages local field sales teams to ensure products and pricing are set up properly with distribution.
  • Develops national and local programs with single family homebuilders and contractors; maintains relationships with these accounts to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Maintains up-to-date information in Salesforce.com
  • Communicates with other departments regarding projects to ensure that customers’ requirements are clearly and completely communicated.
  • Engages field sales to verify products and prices are properly established with distribution.
  • Ensures account presentations, internal meetings, and customer-facing communications are managed and executed. Trains customers and trades as needed to ensure program success.
  • Helps identify new product needs.
  • Organize company representation at regional trade shows and associations.
  • Keeps up to date on market trends and new products.
  • Other duties as assigned

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Ability to travel overnight up to 40-60% of the time under normal conditions
  • 3-5 years’ experience calling on single family homebuilders
  • Experience selling electrical products a plus
  • Ideal candidates will be located in TX to cover the Central Region
