We're looking for a Senior Java Developer with a MUMPS and VistA background and the advanced expertise needed to diagnose and fix issues affecting VistA products for our Veterans Affairs client. This role is more than just coding. We need a lead developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. Using Agile life cycle development, you'll build and repair health and clinical applications for the VA. You'll analyze the user needs and the environment to make sure the solution you're developing considers the architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

You Have:

• 10+ years of experience with Java software development
• Experience with MUMPS software development
• Experience with WebLogic environments
• Knowledge of software development and design or architectural patterns
• Knowledge of architecture styles and APIs
• Ability to comprehend front-end users' requirements
• Ability to communicate with front-end users to replicate their issues
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Associate's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with VA Fileman and working in VistA environments
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks
• Associate's degree in a CS field preferred; Bachelor degree in a CS field a plus
• SAFe Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
