Responsibilities
- Performing monthly financial closing including account analysis and preparation of journal entries.
- Analysis of manufacturing variances including labor and overhead variances and report to operations management
- Prepare standard monthly reports and review with operations management
- Preparation of annual manufacturing budget and quarterly updates to forecast.
- Establish annual labor and overhead rates in line with operating budget.
- Analyzing direct and indirect costs by batch or jobs.
- Oversee - Accounts Payable.
- Oversee - Fixed Assets Accounting.
- Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to maintain SOX compliance.
- Develop and maintain standard costs in conjunction with operation management.
- Perform annual cost roll and inventory revaluation.
- Proactive analysis of variances and communication of issues and opportunities to operations management
- Participating in product profitability analysis
- Comparing standard cost to actual cost and identifying and explaining variances by customer, part number and production jobs
- Sales & Use calculation and reporting
- Other duties as assigned
We are looking for someone with a bachelors degree in Accounting, 5 or more years experience in Accounting with 2-3 of those years in Cost Accounting. Experience with Sage or Netsuite is preferred.
The is a full time, in office position, Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm. In addition to our very competitive, comprehensive, and affordable benefits, this position has a salary range of approximately $75,000-$80,000 annually.
