Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician)
Volvo Cars is seeking experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians (Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician) to support our Body Shop, Paint Shop, and Final Assembly functions at our Ridgeville, South Carolina plant.
The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is directly responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of production manufacturing equipment.
Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician / (Industrial Equipment Maintenance Technician) job responsibilities:
· Troubleshoots and repairs of complex equipment breakdowns involving mechanical and electrical aspects of machinery.
· Inspects and assesses the functionality of production machines.
· Analyze failures or equipment technical loss causes.
· Perform preventive and corrected maintenance on assigned equipment.
· Ensuring compliance with appropriate safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications (experience and education):
A minimum of 3 years directly related work experience in the following areas:
· Hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
· The ability to read and interpret manufacturing specifications or work instructions.
· Knowledge of and experience with industrial electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics in a manufacturing environment.
· Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office, email), including knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e., SAP or Maximo).
· Ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs.
· In lieu of work experience, military experience in a technical field OR an associate degree in a technical field will be considered.
· High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
Preferred Qualifications:
· Previous experience in the Automotive industry.
· Experience changing out bearing and motors.
· PLC and Siemens system education and/or experience.
· HVAC experience.
· Robotics (ABB, DURR) experience.
· Automated manufacturing.
· Pumping system maintenance experience.
· Conveyor system maintenance experience.
· Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e., SAP or Maximo).
· Available to work any shift (weekends, holidays, and overtime).
