Summary
Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Appropriate clinical training in the testing of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and adult patients or have successfully completed at least a 50 week official US military medical laboratory procedures course and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician).Light lifting up to 25 pounds, general motion including bending, squatting, reaching, carrying, pushing and pulling. Manual dexterity. Ability to speak plainly. Near visual acuity, ability to discern colors. May involve skin, eye, mucous membrane, or parenteral contact with blood or other potentially infectious material.
