Specific Duties
- Performs MRI procedures on patients: Prepares patients for MRI exam, explains procedure, administers contrast, when necessary, positions patients for the MRI scanner, selects appropriate imaging techniques, and ensures technical quality of the scan
- Monitors the patient’s condition before and after the scan to ensure patient safety
- Ability to correctly position patients to minimize discomfort, while still obtaining the best possible scan
- You will be responsible for reviewing and completing appropriate paperwork on every patient as required including exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
- You will be responsible for monitoring the equipment for mechanical safety, Problem solves equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative and CES regarding equipment problems.
- Completes all quality checks and ensures that equipment logs are maintained.
- Completes all clinical supply inventory, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedures.
- Reviews the physician orders to verify the types of diagnostic exam requested and that the indication for the procedure is consistent.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assists with patient scheduling when required.

- Ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision, in order to independently carry out the duties of the position.
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer knowledge
License/Certification:
- ARRT Certification (Required)
- CT or MRI is preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
- Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).

Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
