Position Summary:
The Sr. Manager, FP&A plays a pivotal role in the Straumann Group North America leadership team and is critical to achieving financial objectives.  This individual will lead regional budgeting and forecasting processes and the creation of executive presentations on financial results and forecasts.  This individual also acts as a thought leader by challenging the status quo to drive optimal financial outcomes.

 

Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following (* indicates essential function):

  • Own the Budget and Forecast process by providing guidance on process timing, creating templates, and chairing meeting to review key milestones and pacing to deadlines/deliverables.
  • Lead the creation of Executive level financial presentations focusing on understanding root cause of performance gaps and collaborating on initiatives to close them.
  • Drive monthly analysis of financial results, communicating and explaining variances to leadership.
  • Build and maintain a bottoms up P&L model to evaluate financial performance and takes action to address identified gaps.
  • Lead data analysis for the business, using complex data and problem solving.
  • Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and identify pertinent financial highlights, enabling understanding of progress against strategic business plans.
  • Understands and deploys the best tools / methods to effectively communicate complex data and topics.
  • Develops high quality effective presentations (i.e., engaging, motivating, concise, well-prepared).
  • Conducting monthly variance analysis vs. budget, forecast and prior year to gain insights into business performance vs. expectations.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial results to CFO and accounting leadership.
  • Maintain long term financial model for the company and analyze how investments/changes/strategic. 
  • Prepare key monthly financial reports for LT members, including analyses of current performance.


Management Responsibilities (This position manages the following positions)

  • (1) Senior Financial Analyst

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of progressive FP&A, Accounting or Finance experience

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA a plus
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills including emotional maturity, strong communication and presentation skills
  • Expertise in distilling extensive data into an executive level story to drive business decisions
  • Ability to collaborate and influence business partners to deliver company objectives
  • Foresight and initiative to identify and resolve issues at multiple levels
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and able to independently solve problems
