Position Summary
The MRI Technologist performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury. In addition, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Imaging Manager. This position may require rotation to an Outpatient Imaging Site.
MRI develops, implements and manages MRI safety programs, policies and procedures, including screening, access controls and staff training. Generates images of the organs of the body through non-invasive imaging technology utilizing strong magnetic fields, magnetic field gradients and radio waves to generate images of the organs of the body to diagnose medical conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
A.R.R.T. Radiography registered with current ODH licensure. Individual must have completed or is required to complete advanced registry in MRI within 18 months of hire date. Previous MRI experience is preferred.
Ongoing: If advanced registry/certification is NOT completed by 18 months of hire, employment is terminated. Maintains registry & licensing status; meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
