- Vision Creation: build an understanding and cultivate the portfolio’s (domain) vision, both within and outside of the product organization; evaluate the quality of the user experience and ensure outcomes developed are linked to business drivers
- Business Case Development: responsible for the analysis of information and formulations of product solutions and strategies for overall strategy alignment
- Portfolio Lifecycle Analysis: responsible for developing, defining, and overseeing the product’s roadmap and managing it as required for the purpose of meeting deliverables for the business
- Go-To-Market Strategy: works closely with the marketing department to develop go-to-market strategies as well as the sales department to build on sales and implementation strategies; work with the education department to infuse value proposition and make sure updates are included in external training
- Research and Analysis: tasked with conducting relevant product research; establishing competitive intelligence and various market analyses that supplement and compliment analyses already conducted by product owners, customer experience and various other cross-functional players.
- Product Evangelism: tasked with representing the business and promoting the product by advocating for its value and benefits at executive briefings, marketing events, online consumer platforms, etc..
- Strong sense of team: have the ability to work cross-functionally, influence up and down the organization, have a product mindset and utilize data to help persuade inside an organization with shallow roots in the product management discipline.
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in general management or product management experience in digital technologies.
- Scrum/Agile experience
- Prior P&L experience
- Preferred to have in-depth understanding of the agriculture and/or crop insurance industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Agriculture, Business, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
- Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).
- Pragmatic Certified Product Manager (PMC) or New Product Development (NPD) or Product Manager Certification™ preferred
