Position Description:
To build and maintain Powder Mountain's trail system. To provide a safe riding experience for our guests.
Position Type: Seasonal Full or Part Time. Weekends and Holidays Required.
Requirements
Job Performance Expectations:
• This role will require one to work weekends and some holidays.
• Ability to operate a variety of tools; hand tools and power tools. Such as shovels, axes, chain saws, hand and power saws, etc...
• Routinely inspect trails for potential hazards such as downed trees/branches, missing or damaged signage, erosion or other obstacles.
• Creates and manages any required water drainage features to ensure there is controlled and minimal erosion
• Regular tools and equipment inspection to ensure a safe environment is maintained.
• Provide exceptional guest service and maintains clear communications with Bike Patrol, Lift Maintenance and Lift Operations.
• Assist with any Mountain Bike events.
• Assist with other assigned duties to ensure Powder Mountain is creating and maintaining a safe Mountain Bike experience.
Job Requirements:
• Experience in felling trees and chainsaw operation preferred.
• Preferred one year + trail building and maintenance experience.
• Preferred candidate is a downhill/Mountain Biker and can ride all levels to be able to test trail system for potential risks.
• Preferred ability to operate company vehicles such as side by sides, ATVs and/or trucks.
• Experience with heavy machinery preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited to:
• Ability to work outside with exposure to high temperatures, wind, rain, sun, moderate altitude and other outdoors potential factors.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to take part in strenuous physical activities such as hiking, walking uphill and on uneven surfaces while potentially caring tools and equipment.
• Full range of body movements
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending and twisting
Working Environment:
• Work is performed primarily outside in a mountainous environment and is exposed to extreme temperatures, sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice), high altitudes (9,000ft+), noise, and moving machines/equipment.
