POSITION SUMMARY
This position is accountable for organizing, prioritizing and reporting on the completion of static & dynamic finite element analysis tasks. This will include all related design and analysis activities, calculations, reports, presentations, and communications. The goal is to simulate more and physically test less, where practical. With this position there will be an expectation and a strong emphasis on first time quality releases.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Ensures engineering designs and design changes are analyzed and validated to meet Industry and NFI Group product standards.
• Organizes, prioritizes and reports out on the Simulation team's tasks and status. Manages the teams capacity plan.
• Ensures reports are complete and filed within 30 days of completion
• Performs FEA/CFD & 2D analysis on new and existing designs, analysis of the results, writing reports, and working with the designer(s) to improve the products to meet all standards.
• Works with designers to develop validation plans to meet requirements, ordering parts, preparing, and performing tests, and managing outside contractors for additional validation.
• Manages software licenses and hardware requirements for the team.
• Work directly with all facets of the organization to provide engineering support to suppliers, production, purchasing, quality assurance, customer service and other departments as required.
• Budgeting and departmental cost optimization.

*Ability to travel up to 15% internationally is required*
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in related field or job function
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Registered professional engineering or Engineering in training, or equivalent
• Strong understanding of carbon steel structures, composites, weld joint classifications and bonding within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Ansys, HyperWorks, AMESim & Fluent software packages
• High problem solving skills and organizational skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
