Working with AllHealth Network’s MOSAIC Adult Mental Health IOP programs, the intern will have the opportunity to observe and learn from a licensed professional counselor (LPC) at AllHealth Network. The intern will work alongside an intern supervisor and other behavioral health professionals to attend and co-facilitate groups for the Mental Health IOP programs at our Inverness location.
Under the supervision of a licensed professional counselor, the intern will support the MOSAIC-IOP Team by providing individual service check-ins for Mental Health IOP participants and participate in group services hours (both in-person and via telehealth) to gain firsthand experience on how assessments, treatment goals, and treatment plans are completed. The intern will observe counselors in real-time IOP groups and be given the opportunity to lead conversations themselves after a sufficient training period. This team is very much group therapy-based and most of the intern’s time will be spent facilitating groups, though opportunities to provide individual weekly check-ins, assessments and risk evaluation with clients will be available. As with all internships, the intern will receive direct supervision from and be in daily contact with their internship supervisor.
- Interns must be affiliated with a CACREP accredited academic program during their placement with AllHealth Network. The school or its representative and AllHealth Network must have an established Affiliation Agreement, in writing, in place regarding the terms of an intern’s placement prior to the start of an internship.
- AllHealth Network employees are not eligible for internships while employed by the organization.
- All internships are unpaid.
- AllHealth Network does not employ or provide internships to current or former clients or those who have family members in treatment to avoid confidentiality concerns or conflicts of interest.
- Interns may not practice in any language other than English unless they have passed the Human Resources approved proficiency examination.
- Those offered internship positions are required to complete the background check process and other onboarding requirements, as outlined by Human Resources.
- Interns are expected to attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) as well as other required new hire and internship trainings and to complete all mandatory agency wide staff training requirements. Interns are also expected to give constructive feedback that evaluates their training and supervision experience and to be engaged in the learning process.
- Interns are expected to participate in the development of a performance improvement plan if one is needed.
- Interns are expected to keep track of their hours as they accrue, per the requirements of their academic program.
