Tri Pointe Connect is looking for an experienced individual to join our talented group as a Mortgage Training Manager in AZ.
Position Highlights: The Mortgage Training Manager will work collaboratively with the Production and Operations teams along with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to identify technical educational/training needs for the Tri Pointe Connect team members. This individual will consult with leadership to design, develop, and evaluate a range of training content and programs. Training can include, but not limited to, systems (Encompass, OB, Simple Nexus), mortgage regulatory guidelines and updates, product updates, Tri Pointe Homes’ New Home Advisors (Mortgage 101), customer service, other soft skill training as necessary. The Mortgage Training Manager will be responsible for solutions that drive change and support enterprise-wide imperatives acting as both strategic thinker and practical advisor.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops partnerships with leaders/SMEs across the organization to identify and prioritize capability gaps and training opportunities.
- Identifies and partners with internal SMEs and external vendors to develop content and introduce customized training programs, as needed.
- Works with the Mortgage Trainer to deliver group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas.
- Selects or develops training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Evaluates effectiveness of training and development programs and utilizes relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
- Analyzes and assesses training and on-going development needs.
- Reports training evaluations, efficiencies, and trends with senior leadership.
- Works with Tri Pointe Homes’ Learning & Development team to identify ongoing training needs and resources available.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5-7 years’ experience within the mortgage industry, training and development experience, preferred.
- NMLS Licensing, a plus.
Job Specific Core Competencies:
- Advance knowledge of the life cycle of the loan.
- Expertise with all loan products.
- Strong regulatory knowledge to include ECOA, TILA, RESPA, HMDA.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering multiple training programs.
- Knowledge of adult learning principals.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to relate well and collaborate with all departments and levels of employees.
- Strong technology skills with ability to research and utilize modern training/learning techniques and best practices including (but not limited to): collaborative technology, e-learning, platform (classroom) learning.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Advance knowledge of loan origination systems (Encompass, a plus).
- Demonstrated advanced skills computer software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Demonstrated ability to define, measure, and evaluate training results and trends.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner while remaining detail oriented.
- Recognize peak times and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Ability to effectively work independently and with others to support strong team development.
- Experience in professional facilitation or instructor led technical training.
