Position Summary:
The Mortgage Product Specialist will be the central point of contact for loan originator support for loan product needs. This may include items such as pricing, existing product guidelines and future loan products. The position will also assist the Secondary Marketing Manager in duties of managing a lock desk and secondary marketing department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Research, develop, initiate and document unique Mortgage Products to be used by Sente Mortgage Bankers
- Assist Sente Mortgage Bankers to find the best solution for unique mortgage loan scenarios
- Work with Production to promote the development of products that help loan originators compete in their marketplace
- Work with the Director of Capital Markets to provide consistently competitive pricing on existing and new products
- Be the Sente internal expert on investor and agency guidelines, policies and procedures
- Work with the Training Department to successfully develop training modules for each new loan product
- Continually review, maintain and enhance existing loan product offerings
- Collaborate with department subject matter experts in all impacted departments including Production, Operations, Training, Compliance and Accounting/Finance
- Process new lock requests and lock modifications
- Perform proactive pipeline management, including relocks, loan changes, rate renegotiations, and follow-up with locks approaching expirations to determine if cancellations or extensions are required
- Process and reconcile daily purchase advices
- Ensure data integrity on locked pipeline
- Field price-related questions from sales and operations staff
- Update LOS with bulk sale commitment information
- Manage pipeline to ensure the integrity of company margins and financial goals
- Assist in managing aspects of loan delivery to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac & doc custodian
- Maintain awareness of competitor pricing
- Create and distribute reports as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience:
- 2+ years mortgage experience preferred, preferably in secondary marketing, underwriting or processing
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred
- Detailed knowledge of mortgage lending products
- Experience in solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Experience in developing training materials preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
- Experience with Encompass preferred
- Prior underwriting and/or senior processor experience preferred
Occasional travel corporate office in Austin, Texas and branch locations may be required
Salary commensurate with experience
