UW Credit Union’s Mortgage Lending department is hiring a Mortgage Lending Sales Support Manager.
Are you an experienced professional in mortgage operations with strong leadership and management skills? Do you have a passion for coaching and developing staff?
As the Mortgage Lending Sales Support Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the mortgage processing team and support the Mortgage Sales Support Assistant Managers with training, coaching and development of the team. You will also play a pivotal role within the Mortgage Management team collaborating closely with sales and other support functions such as underwriting.
In the Mortgage Lending Sales Support Manager role, you are accountable for achieving daily volume and quality benchmarks related to the processing of all mortgage products. Ensuring consistently high service levels is a top priority for this role, including monitoring accuracy, compliance, and quality delivery, while actively identifying and implementing process improvements for enhanced efficiency.

What You’ll Do
- Supervise Mortgage Processors to ensure efficient loan processing and timely follow-up with members for documentation collection, maintaining accuracy in files submitted to underwriting.
- Collaborate with mortgage sales and operations teams for high-quality loan delivery to members and support departments.
- Establish work priorities and service level standards in Mortgage Lending support departments aligned with UW Credit Union's service and production goals.
- Identify and implement best practices and process improvements to foster a cohesive team environment.
- Manage origination and processing of Second Mortgages related to first mortgages.
- Assist MLOs with basic "Customer Information File" creation and account opening functions, ensuring confidentiality.
- Identify business product needs and present proposals to management.
- Manage Mortgage Processing Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Keep updated on investor guidelines and regulatory changes to ensure loan processing compliance, regularly reviewing and updating lending guidelines for staff improvement.
- Responsible for essential leadership duties, including but not limited to, inclusive excellence, responsibility and accountability, effective communication, teamwork, high-performance mindset, business acumen, recruitment and retention, change leadership and coaching and development.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 4+ years of experience in real estate lending which includes origination, processing, underwriting, closing and servicing mortgages sold in the secondary market
- 2+ years of leadership experience developing staff
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work with ease in high stress situations where there are multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong interpersonal communication, outstanding ability to influence and build relationships, and creative problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Secondary Market underwriting guidelines
- Ability to interpret lending policies and procedures
