Job Description
Summary: The Molding Technician is responsible for mold set-ups, statistical process control, robotics, material handling, chillers, automation and process trouble shooting of various types of injection molds, machines and resins to ensure efficient production of quality products.
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
- Perform required inspection and testing of incoming product according to quality control plan
· Material handling, blending and minor maintenance on auxiliary equipment
· Develop procedures and documentation for all aspects of the process and provide training as needed.
· Communicates with prior and oncoming shifts to give work assignments and expectations to achieve plan.
· Follow Company policies and procedures as defined in the SUNBELT Employee Manual.
· Follow all International Standards that apply to SUNBELT’S certification and QMS.
· Follow Company Safety rules and wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education /Skills /Qualifications:
· High School Diploma
· Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety.
· 3-5 years of Injection Molding experience, preferably in the Automotive and Medical Industry.
· Experience in reel to reel molding, insert molding and decoupled molding a definite asset.
· Able to setup, validate and optimize current mold processes.
· Able to work in a fast paced work environment
· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
· Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills.
· Good administrative & record keeping skills.
· Intermediate computer skills to include Word & Excel.
· Self-starter with a strong drive for continuous improvement
· Ability to read advanced blueprints
