- Responsible for providing high-level decisions for software development with a specific focus on integrating models & developing live and simulated aviation HWIL capabilities.
- The candidate will work closely with a diverse team of engineers, modelers, and software developers to develop requirements for new capabilities utilizing Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and Model Based Testing to support Multi-domain Operations (MDO), and Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA). You will utilize your expertise to support and guide the development of HWIL simulations that accurately simulate the avionics system's behavior in a flight environment.
- The candidate will play an integral role in the full Agile software life cycle, including the development of user stories, backlog refinement, and continuous integration and delivery. As part of the Agile team, you will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the timely and effective delivery of project requirements.
- Other responsibilities and duties will include assisting in the development of test procedures and test cases based on customer requirements, analyzing test results and reporting findings to the software and hardware teams, participating in the development of new system requirements, and collaborating with other teams to ensure that systems are designed and tested to meet program requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or related field,
- 8+ years of experience in HWIL simulation, aviation systems development, or related field
- Experience in designing and developing unified vision for software characteristics and functions.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Experience with developing test procedures and test cases based on customer requirements
- Knowledge of Model Based Test Engineering, Multi-domain Operations, and Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA)
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team of engineers and modelers.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Active DoD Secret clearance
