Compensation: $60,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Position Description: Prototype Model Maker
Basic Function: The position is responsible for working with the Game Designers and Engineers to build prototypes of new mechanical assemblies and parts.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Assist Game Designer and engineers with new product development.
· Make unique items in the model shop for prototypes (sheet metal, milled, turned, and light welded parts).
· Maintain the shop build up area with tools and supplies.
· Build and assemble prototype mechs.
· Communicate and collaborate with Mechanical Engineers on building prototype parts.
Education and Experience:
· 5 to 7 years of related experience in a prototype model shop environment, pinball experience a plus.
· Hands on with machine shop tools a must, Mill, Lathe, metal tools, and plastic assembly.
· Ability to understand mechanical drawings.
· Ability to read and follow Bill of Materials.
Key Competencies:
· Demonstrated proficiency with Lath, Mill, CNC Laser, CNC Router, Break Press, Welding.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Sense of urgency.
· Ability to meet deadlines.
