Mobile Swimming Instructor

Kidtastics in Scottsdale, AZ is looking for Mobile Swimming Instructor to join our 14 person strong team to serve the Phoenix valley. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and hard-working. Kidtastics at Home Swim Lessons is interviewing now for our seasonal Swimming Instructor staff, and our private lifeguard service. Most work is May through September, yet some events year round. This is our 16th year in business, come be with the top dog in the industry :) We have 400+ home clients each summer. A lot of work is available.

The more open weekday time you have, the better as we only offer swimming lessons Monday through Thursday, yet you are encouraged to have summer school or another P/T job as this is great sideline income, because we only offer limited lessons in the winter months. We are flexible and will accommodate your schedule as long as you are reliable and on time. We pay the best of any local swim school for instruction and/or lifeguarding. Lifeguarding events are usually weekends. Details in our online application form. Another benefit for working with a professional swim school: $2,000,000 liability policy covers you when on staff.

In Summary, we have two positions open either swim instructor or lifeguard. You can apply for one or both.

Requirements

• Be able to pass a background check.
• Previous swim instructor with children is a bonus and will help increase your per lesson rate.
• Previous Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is a plus.
• Experience with children is required.
• CPR/first Aid certified- can be done online.
• Professional attitude, conscientious, fun. Must provide great customer service.
• Current on Lifeguard Cert (or up to date before accepting jobs) only if applying for the lifeguard position.
• In healthy shape (meaning your doctor would give you thumbs up for physical exertion. You don't need to be a triathlete but in normal range health.)
• Reliable car, cell phone, check email regularly.
• Desires to learn new things and continue your education in the swimming field.
• Child development backgrounds a plus (school teacher, preschool teacher, college courses, or in the real world as a mom or dad)
• Love working with kids is required.
• Working with Kids ages 6mo.-12yrs, sometimes adult lessons are taught.
• Training is provided. Competitive ongoing training & advancement.
• Professional attitude, organized.
• Managing day to day operations of your lessons including lesson planning & creativity and socializing with clients/parents
• Need to be able to work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday each week. And be available in the summer for at least 4 of 6 of the semesters dates of our summer program. See below for semester dates:

Semester #1 May 13th - May 23rd : each semester you will work Monday through Thursday each week so 8 days in 2 weeks.

Semester #2 June 3rd - June 13th

Semester #3 June 17th - June 27th

Semester #4 July 8th - July 18th

Semester #5 July 22nd - Aug 1st

Semester #6 Aug 12th - Aug 22nd
