Air Compressor Technician Job Description
Peak Compressor is a leading provider of air compressors, and we are currently seeking an experienced technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience servicing and repairing air compressors, as well as a strong understanding of air compressor systems. He/she will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing air compressors in a timely and efficient manner, as well as providing preventative maintenance to avoid future issues. The technician will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Install, maintain, and repair air compressors and related equipment according to company standards and procedures.
• Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on air compressors and related equipment, including but not limited to oil changes, filter changes, and belt replacements.
• Diagnose problems with air compressors and related equipment, and make repairs as necessary.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed
• Order parts and supplies as needed to complete repairs in a timely manner
• Respond to service calls from customers in a prompt and professional manner
• Train new employees on proper operation and maintenance of air compressors and related equipment
• Follow all safety procedures when working with air compressors and related equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Assist other technicians as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years experience in air compressor maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical manuals
• Working knowledge of pneumatic systems
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Associate’s degree or trade school certification in HVAC, mechanics, or related field
• 4+ years experience in air compressor maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
• EPA 608 Certification
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
