We are seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team! The phlebotomist will draw blood for homebound, acute care patients and deliver specimens to a local designated hospital. A set route will be provided the day before with the likelihood for additional patients to be added throughout the day. The route usually begins around 7:00 AM and will have appointments scheduled back-to-back so that all specimens are delivered as quickly as possible. Some weekend mornings will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and transport blood samples from patients to a specific hospital
- Check the online portal for scheduled appointments and update in real time via cell phone
- Monitor inventory of supplies
- Maintain a clean and healthy work environment
- Adhere to laboratory safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous 1-year experience in phlebotomy
- Experience in a hospital setting is preferable
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Strong organizational skills
- Complete a 2-hour online training on company practices and protocols
- Must be able to pass a Level 2 National Background Check
- Reliable transportation and cell phone
