Mobile Hiring Coordinator

Our company Southland Holdings is looking for a Mobile Hiring Coordinator to join our team. 

This individual will be responsible for successfully recruiting, setting up interviews and coordinating the hire of  all craft/skilled laborer roles within Southland Holdings across the country including Carpenters, Laborers, Pipe Layers, Traffic Flaggers, Crane Operators, Mechanics and much more.  This individual will work closely with other members of the Human Resources, Project Management, Area Managers and Recruiting team to ensure a positive candidate experience. 

Duties -  

• Manage recruiting for all construction craft positions  
• Understands role specifications and successful candidate qualifications before posting each position to ensure sourcing efforts align with operational needs. 
• Prescreens candidates to identify top talent for the identified operational needs and submits recommendations to operations management team for review. 
• Attend recruiting events and college fairs throughout the US on occasion 
• New hire background checks (reference checks, MVR) 
• Maintain and document all requisition activity within a centralized ATS. 
• Complete request for new hire equipment as needed 
• Travel and work with administrators at the construction projects.  

Requirements- 

• Must be comfortable talking over the phone 
• Must be bilingual - Spanish 
• MUST BE "SELF STARTER" 
• Knowledge of construction positions is highly preferred 
• Recruiting experience is highly preferred 
• Must have exceptional attendance record 
• Must have general knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
• Ability to occasionally work extended schedule 
• Ability to read, speak and write English is required. 
• Ability to speak Spanish is desired 
• Must pass post offer drug screen 
• Must work well with others 
• Must be able to provide proof of illegibility to legally work in the US.
