Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Mobile Crisis Professional to join our Pittsboro, NC team.
Immediate opening -- start working as early as March 25th with a completed background check!
This is a PRN position. You will provide shift coverage on an as-needed basis.
As a Mobile Crisis Professional, you will work as a member of a Mobile Crisis Team to provide crisis intervention though psychiatric crisis assessments and assist in short-term crisis service planning and coordination in order to de-escalate and stabilize potential situations in an effort to maintain and promote safety. You will provide direct services to individuals who have requested services or who need services as identified by Screening, Triage and Referral (STR), the MCM Team, or community service providers such as hospitals and law enforcement. You may also facilitate when necessary in the involuntary commitment and placement in higher levels of care of the people we serve.
To qualify, candidates must have the following (please read carefully):
- A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field, with at least 4 years of post-graduate experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health issues or substance abuse issues, at least 1 year of mental health crisis experience, and a North Carolina CADC certification.
- If the candidate does not have a Bachelor's Degree, they can qualify for this position by having the following combination of North Carolina certifications/licenses and experience: a North Carolina QMHP or RN, at least 4 years of post-graduate experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health issues or substance abuse issues, at least 1 year of mental health crisis experience, and a North Carolina CADC certification.
- A valid Drivers License and auto insurance is also required.
