Job SummaryThe Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs general ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts (including breast), and obstetrical, to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assist with needle procedures (i.e., biopsies, drainages, needle placements, etc.). May also perform limited vascular procedures. Job Responsibilities Performs ultrasound imaging examinations. Performs studies independently and portable exams as required by the work area. Maintains equipment and supplies. Ensures proper documentation of procedures. Collaborates with Radiologist and medical staff for diagnosis. Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job. Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED No Experience No Supervisor Experience RDMS License/Certification or equivalent Preferred Qualifications Associate Degree Sonography < 2 Years Experience Additional Job Information Relocation Assistance Eligible 40 Hours per Week Monday - Friday, Days Career Ladder program with pay increases based on experience and credentials. NO call during evening and weekends. Shared call rotation for holidays. ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence Benefit eligible on first day of employment
