What you will do
We are looking for an energetic and dedicated MN Sales and Marketing Managerto join our growing dynamic team! The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto! The MN Sales and Marketing Manager will lead sales efforts for Vireo’s new hemp-derived gummies and beverages, and will lay the groundwork for the launch of adult use cannabis wholesale sales. This position reports directly to the EVP of Retail & Wholesale.
Highlighted Responsibilities
- Spearhead the launch and growth Vireo’s new low-dose cannabis beverage & edible products
- Prepare for the launch of adult use cannabis wholesale sales in 2025
- Become the brand go-to contact for all wholesale sales in Minnesota
- Develop wholesale relationships with a variety of retailers including liquor stores, bars/restaurants, and tobacco/hemp shops
- Plan and execute promotional events
- Work directly with third party distributors to coordinate customer orders, deliveries, and promotional activities
- Manage and develop annual calendar of tactical trade plans
- Prepare weekly, monthly, & quarterly sales reports by product, category, and vendor
- Meet and exceed sales objectives for daily activities and behaviors
- Identifying potential new business opportunities to grow revenue through daily prospecting and connecting with distributors, dispensary buyers, local event organizers, MMJ community and health systems
- Keeping current on industry trends that may impact the business and revenue objectives of the company
- Attending industry tradeshows and networking events as necessary
- Participating in weekly meetings with the Goodness Growth team to discuss prospecting efforts, new business initiatives and existing account activities
- Provide recommendations to drive future opportunity for the wholesale business
- Partner with Finance on sales forecasting and revenue targets
- Work with Sales and Marketing teams to develop advertising strategies and promotional activities as needed
- Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence
- Complete accurate and timely KPI’s reports, projects, and other required documentation.
- Serve as a local Sales and Marketing resource for internal stakeholders
- Expense Management
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the cannabis, hemp, or alcohol industry
- Proven ability to build and execute a sales strategy to generate and develop new business
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strong aptitude with numbers
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and one or more CRM tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership and negotiation skills
- Must be flexible, work well independently and have a team-oriented approach
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must have a legal driver’s license and willing to travel
