Production Operator Batch Maker
M-F 7am-4pm

Main Responsibilities:
• Operate machinery used in the production process, such as mixers, forklift trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Weigh or measure raw materials prior to putting them into mixing tanks as per batch tickets.
• Dump or pour specified amounts of raw materials into mixing tanks via pumps or manual means.
• Start machines to mix or blend ingredients and allow them to mix for specified times as per instructions.
• Match colors to standards provided by QA Lab by tinting products with tint colors specified on batch ticket.
• Stop mixing or blending equipment per instructions on the batch ticket once the specified product quantity is obtained.
• Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing
• Clean and maintain mixing tanks, equipment, and work area.
• Adhere to work schedule and be able to report to work on time and work throughout the assigned schedule and shift.
• Accept directions from the shift supervisor.
• Observe equipment operations and notify the supervisor of any malfunctions.
• Housekeeping duties include cleaning of work area and blending equipment.
• Apply labels to products and/or cases.
• Help load trucks.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively work with a diverse team.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions/directions.
• Must be detail oriented to follow specific procedures and work instructions.
• Possess basic math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
• Must be able to work safely at a sustained pace to produce quality work and produce sufficient quantity or work as determined by production planner.
• Wear specified personal protective equipment as needed throughout shift, which include steel/composite toe work boots, safety glasses, aprons, protective gloves or respirators, masks, face shields etc. as required.
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Complete required safety training, perform tasks in a safe manner and follow safety policies.
• May handle caustic or acidic chemicals after appropriate training and with appropriate PPE
• Reliable
• Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)
• Mixing/Batch Making: 1 year (Preferred)
Physical Demands
• Stand, walk, handle, reach outward and above shoulder, climb, and bend frequently.
• The ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Work near moving mechanical parts.
