The City of Peoria Water Distribution is seeking a Utility System Operator II to maintain and repair the City of Peoria Water Distribution system. This is a full time, benefitted position that will provide maintenance and repair to water mains, fire hydrants, valves, and service lines throughout the City of Peoria. If you are a hard worker that possesses extensive Water Distribution experience and love to contribute to a team atmosphere, this is an outstanding opportunity for you.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Have experience and ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a Water Distribution system
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and large utility service trucks.
- Flexibility and drive to meet the challenges of the position

Other Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1 year of previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
- Physical Demands: A main requirement of the job is physical labor. Forces exerted are equivalent to lifting more than 50 pounds.
- Participation in an On-call rotation
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Arizona Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker endorsement
- Grade I Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Certification in Water Distributionupon hire
- Grade II Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Certification in Water Distributionwithin one year of hire
