MIPS COORDINATOR

Apex Dermatology & Skin Surgery Center is a rapidly growing skincare facility that empowers employees to deliver exceptional patient experiences. We are currently looking for a talented candidate for the role of MIPS Coordinator. The MIPS Coordinator evaluates the needs in each office, develops workflows that support MIPs processes, executes delivery and implementation plans, and tests and troubleshoots final configurations.

This is an hourly, nonexempt position. This position requires legal authorization to work in the US.

Schedule: Full-time 40 hours Salary - $18-$20 per hour

Essential Functions

• Coordinate processes within the EHR to capture and report data for the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
• Identify areas of improvement within the workflows and propose solutions to increase workflow efficiency and MIPS performance rate
• Test configuration of new workflows with the software team prior to implementation
• Monitor the status of Promoting Interoperability and Improvement Activities
• Audit charts with the MIPS Tracker to ensure compliance with each measure
• Report MIPS performance to the Compliance Officer on a weekly basis
• Evaluate new MIPS quality measures and activities as it applies to our practice
• Manage the MIPS dashboard to maintain positive outcomes and avoid penalties
• Participate in cross-functional team discussions to improve processes and achieve business objectives
• Assist EHR Administrator and Training team with deployment of new processes or procedures as they apply to ease of capturing data for the MIPS dashboard
• Willing to travel to all locations as needed for MIPS related tasks, including new hire training and routine check-ins
• Ability to communicate current trends and results effectively with the clinical staff
• Possess time management skills to organize and complete work independently within specific deadlines
• Use problem solving skills to proactively manage work-related issues
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• 2 years of experience in a clinical healthcare setting
• Well versed in navigating EHR (Electronic Health Record) software
• Accustomed to viewing and interpreting practice management reports and clinical data dashboards

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or healthcare related field
• Previous experience as a MIPS Coordinator or CPHQ
