For the position of Therapist, we need a compassionate individual who is a self-starter, flexible, and organized, and who has a broad background in psychiatry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical consultation and management to patients who are struggling with mental health. They will also be responsible for administering and interpreting psychiatric tests, designing treatment plans, and monitoring care to ensure effective psychiatric treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate clinical competence and professional judgment in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, including client assessment and successful client engagement and retention methods
- Keep abreast of alternative treatment methods including best practices for treating the co-occurring population and implementing trauma informed care practices
- Take initiative to assess client skills and interests, and seek out development opportunities matching the client's skill sets
- Anticipate and implement case management and crisis intervention services as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all treatment activities
- Participate in clinical supervision and staff meetings
Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to diagnose mental health disorders, as listed in DSM-5
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective computer skills
- Knowledge of electronic health records systems
- Where applicable, maintain licenses and/or certifications as required by PA licensing board
Required Experience:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent education and experience
- LCSW, LSW, LPC, LCPC or LMFT desired
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with a mental health or co-occurring disorders in an in-patient, outpatient or IOP/PHP setting
- Specializations in EDMR or CADC
