PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

Troubleshooting and execute welding repairs on mobile equipment in a manner, which improves the safety, efficiency, and endurance of our fleet. Learn new things and teach others, so that we can improve as individuals and as a team. Perform other functions and duties as assigned by the Supervisor while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect KGHM’s values.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
• Be a role model to others in safe behavior.
• Fabricate parts, structures, and tools with or without prints or plans.
• Good written and verbal skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to prioritize, self-start, and work under limited supervision.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:

• Welding Trade School, Certifications or equivalent work experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Welding and/or cutting skills with: Oxy-Acetylene, SMAW (ARC), FCAW-G (MIG), Plasma, and Air-Carbon Arc Cutting.
• The ability to read and understand prints and/or plans and be able to operate all fabrication equipment.
• Basic computer skills.

• N/A

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Heavy: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Physical demand requirements are greater than that required for Medium Work.
