Key Responsibilities
- Welds metal parts together using appropriate processes and performing related tasks such as cutting and grinding.
- Repairs broken or cracked parts, files holes and increases size of metal parts.
- Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products prior to welding.
- Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications using measuring instruments.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Works under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity.
Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
- Experience: 1 or more years’ experience in heavy equipment and structural welding
- Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) Experience with 1/16 wire
- Certifications/Licenses in welding are welcome.
- Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Read blueprints, general understanding of heavy equipment.
