Tesla is seeking skilled team players to join our dynamic Facilities Maintenance group. The Millwright/Mechanical Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining the facilities plant equipment and utility distribution services to achieve key results that align with strategic production goals.
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain various types of facilities equipment including: pumps, boilers, fans, roll-up doors, cranes, compressors and dock equipment
- Generate failure reports and corrective measures on major incidents to decrease and prevent failures
- Design, fabricate and build basic and/or complex structures, supports or framework in the execution of daily tasks
- Weld using ARC, MIG, TIG processes
- Perform oxy/acetylene torch, plasma arc cutting processes
- Perform safe rigging procedures for lifting or installing various equipment
- Execute preventative maintenance on all responsible equipment
- Minimum 5+ years related work experience as an Industrial Millwright/Mechanic
- Ability to Enforce and follow all Safety rules and regulations
- Safety Certifications a plus (Osha30)
- Welding Certification a plus
- Proficiency in communication written and verbal
- Display Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Compensation and Benefits
Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire:
$32.00 - $60.70/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
