PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizes experience with:
- Application of cyber analysis tools such as ACAS, SCAP, and DISA STIGs/SRGs
- Shipboard and ashore installation for tech refreshes, CND deployer toolkit, groom installations, and site surveys
- SOVT tests and providing updates and review of installation documentation
- Hardening infrastructure to ensure test, staging, and production enclaves' cybersecurity posture are maintained
- On-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of products and equipment, providing technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment
- Responding to multiple classified and unclassified trouble ticket systems, to include maintaining user accounts, resetting passwords, verification of accesses, troubleshooting technical issues, and working with remote stations
- Mitigation actions including performing ACAS scans and determining vulnerabilities found to include review of event logs, experience with HBSS modules and EPO policies
- Troubleshooting VPN connections and in router and switch configuration
- Supports full on-site work at Old Town, with expected travel for installation approximately 1-3x/year
Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Must currently hold a DoD 8570-compliant IAT II certification (SSCP or Security+ CE with appropriate CE/OS certificate) or be able to obtain within six months
- Must currently hold SECRET and be eligible to obtain a DoD clearance with potential growth to Top Secret
- Secret clearance to begin work on-site, position requires TS-eligible or TS/SCI-eligible
- Experienced in installation of Navy onboard systems, including fiber, taps, encryption devices, servers, switches, routers, and CND deployment toolkits
- Intermediate level knowledge of Linux based systems, scripting languages (e.g. Python), and n tools such Ansible to streamline configuration management, automation, security hardening, in order to reduce manual tasks and mitigate obsolescence issues
- 2 year technical degree and 3 or more years work related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) IAT Level III
- Intermediate level knowledge of Linux based systems, scripting languages (e.g. Python), configuration management, automation scripting
- Experience with virtualization technologies, VMware vSphere or Red Hat Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a diverse, fast-changing environment
- Experience with DoD security implementation including STIG, security tools, including HBSS, ACAS, and SIEM and Cloud security best practices
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Test execution or test documentation experience, specifically for installation of shipboard systems
